Frequently Asked Questions

I’m brand-new. How do I start?

Book a beginner lesson or hop into a beginner clinic. We’ll cover grip, serve/return, and simple net play so you can rally the same week.

All levels—first-timers to tournament players. Every session is tailored to what you need right now.

No paddle yet. Is that okay?

Totally fine. Tell Bob when you book—he’ll bring a loaner when possible and point you to a good first paddle.

Private lessons and clinics are usually 60 minutes. I never teach more than four people at a time.

Consistency and control: clean contact, footwork to the kitchen, dinks and third-shot drops, plus when to drive vs. drop.

I’m a tennis player. Can you fix my “pickleball pop-ups”?

Yes. We’ll shorten the swing, relax the grip, and clean up your contact point so your tennis background helps—not hurts.

Absolutely. We pace the drills, focus on soft hands and safe movement, and build stamina without overdoing it.

Yes—family sessions are great. For kids, lessons are game-based, so they learn while having fun.

What should I bring?

Court shoes, comfortable clothes, water, sunscreen, and a towel. A hat and sunglasses help on sunny days.

We’ll reschedule quickly. Weather happens—we’ll find your next spot.

Once a week plus one practice/play day works for most. Twice a week speeds things up. Bob can map a simple 4–6-week plan.

Can you prepare me for a league or tournament?

Yes. We’ll run serve/return targets, pressure drills, and doubles communication so you show up confident.

Yes. Bob runs on-site clinics for HOAs, clubs, and companies—fun, organized, and beginner-friendly.

Share your level, preferred days/times, and private vs. group. Bob will confirm a court and send current pricing before you lock in.

What’s the cancellation policy?

Give as much notice as you can. Weather issues are always rescheduled.

For sure. We’ll train soft grip, contact in front, compact swings, and reset footwork so your dinks stay low.

Definitely, send your dates—Bob will try to fit you in while you’re in town.
